Hello! Welcome back to episode forty-two of our monthly podcast about games and game audio. We're rolling in for one last episode this year, and what a ride it has been. Thankyou for keeping up with our (admittedly infrequent) antics in 2020, we're hoping to have some more substantial episodes for you to sink your teeth into in 2021. This month we talk Biden, Demon's Souls, Miles Morales, the PS5 launch, and the TLOU2 win for best audio at the Golden Joysticks.

Hello! Welcome back to episode forty of Soundbytes. It has been another strange few months, as I'm sure you're all aware, but we thought we'd have a little chat and catch up about some things that have been happening.
We want to start off this month by expressing our unequivocal support for the Black Lives Matter movement and the protests against the murder of George Floyd. We're disgusted by the inhumanity and disregard for common decency displayed by the police in the USA right now, and we took a moment in this episode to discuss how we can support the protestors and the wider movement. In the episode, we mentioned the Minnesota Freedom Fund, who have been paying bail for those arrested during the protests, and the Official George Floyd Memorial Fund, set up by Floyd's grieving family. These funds are among many that are supporting this very important fight. Please help as you can.
We also discussed Derek's last day at Naughty Dog and the upcoming release of TLOU2, as well as discussing some of the cool sound related stuff that has been happening online during lockdown. We hope you're all keeping well during this crazy time.

Hello! Welcome back to episode thirty-eight of our monthly podcast about games and game audio. It's 2020! Welcome to the new decade. We decided to use this episode to dig back through some of the sound gems we've particularly enjoyed in the last 10 years. It's a mix of games and films, and we each talk about what our choices mean to us, and how they inspired us.
We wanted to say an extra special thanks to all who have stuck with us over the years, and continue to listen to our podcast. We're eternally grateful for your support. We are also excited for the new year and what it'll bring for us, and we'd like to wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2020.
As mentioned in the episode, we'll be at the Game Audio LA meetup on the 18th of Jan. We're looking forward to seeing old friends, and making some new ones. If you're local, we'd love to hang out with you!

Hello! Welcome back to episode thirty-seven of our monthly podcast about games and game audio. This month, we were incredibly lucky to be joined by two incredibly talented audio people: composer scntfc (Andy Rohrmann) and sound designer Eduardo Ortiz Frau. Both Andy and Eduardo have just finished up working on the newly released game, Afterparty. We loved the sound and music of Afterparty, so it was a real honour to be able to dig into some of the specifics that went into its creation. We talked about Eduardo and Andy's backgrounds in audio and games, about how they both ended up working on Afterparty, and we discussed their approach to creating audio such a unique gaming experience. A huge thanks to both Andy and Eduardo for taking the time to chat to us, it was an incredibly insightful and inspiring interview.
You can follow Eduardo on Twitter here: @edsounddesign and Andy on Twitter here: @scntfc.
Afterparty is out now, and can be purchased on Xbox One, PS4 and the Epic Games Store.

Hello! Welcome back to episode thirty-five of our monthly podcast about games and game audio. Just a very short one from us this month, as we're both very busy. Barney is currently travelling in Israel after having just started a new job with SweetJustice, and Derek in settling into a new job at Naughty Dog and a new home in LA. It's been a hectic month for us so we decided to pre-record a quick update on where our lives are at. We'll be back very soon with more of that infectious banter and game audio knowledge share.
